- Sanju:
Surprisingly the biographical drama “Sanju” is the highest grossing India movie in the year 2018 till date with total box office collection of Rs.342.53 crore. Sanju is a biopic of the Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt son of famous actor & politician Sunil Dutt. The film was released on 29 June.
The movie was directed by the Rajkumar Hirani who is also the writer of this movie. Ranbir Kapoor plays the role of Sanjay Dutt. The movies are showing details on 1993 Bomb blast in which Sanjay Dutt was one of the accused person and his other early life story.
- Padmavat:
Again the second place is surprising in case of Box Office Collection. The second highest grossing movie in 2018 is the “Padmavati” which came in second place with Rs.302.15 crore box office collections. This was a women-centric movie. Deepika Padukone leads with the role of Rani Padmavati along with the Ranvir Singh, Saheed Kapoor, and Aditi Rao Hydari.
The story of Padmavati movie is about Rani Padmavati, who was a legendary Hindu Rajput Queen of Mewar ruled in the 1303 AD. Later she was molested by the Muslim Mughal ruler Allauddin Khilji by getting impressed in her beauty.
- Race 3:
The Salman Khan, Jacqueline, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, Daisy Shah star “ Race 3” came in third place as regards Box Office Collection. This surprised a lot being multi stars film Race 3 cannot grab the first position. The total box office collection of this movie is Rs.166.40 crore only.
Race 3 is the sequel of Race 2 and the famous Race series movies. This is an action movie with twists & turns. Moreover, this is an entertaining movie full of spice & attractions.
- Baaghi-2:
Baaghi-2 is the fourth highest grossing movies in 2018. These movies collected a Box office collection of Rs.164.38 Crores and remain in the Top 5 list. This is the sequel of the original Baaghi movie which released in 2016. Tiger Shroff is in lead role and Disha Patani is in the opposite.
The Baaghi 2 is a romantic movie with both action & thriller. The movie was liked by the young generation as Tiger Shroff is one of the new generation actors. The movie was hit the big screen on 30th March.
- Thugs of Hindostan:
Full of top star cast movie “Thugs of Hindostan” reached at the list of top 5 highest grossing movies in quick time. The movie was released in 8th November and by 20th November the total box office collection of this Moviescounter film is Rs. 145.95 crores.
This adventure-action movie is having star cast of Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh. The story of this movie was taken from the novel “Confessions of a Thug” by Phillip Meadows Taylor.
